I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, surrounded and raised by a group of strong, independent women. As a shy, smart kid, I used books to dive into deep fantasies. To break me out of my shell, my mom started me at the local dance studio. After crying in the corner for the first 3 weeks, I finally decided to join in. In that studio is where I learned to express myself through art, and tell a story with my body.
I knew small town living wasn't for me, so after school, I packed up my stuff and moved to Chicago all on my own. In the five years I spent there, I learned from (and performed with) the amazing and giving artists of Chicago, earned my Equity card, and became part of an incredible community.
Always seeking new experiences and growth, I moved with my husband and our little one (a seven pound yorkie named Poptart) to try out New York. So...here I am.
I am a free spirit with sass. A spit-fire. When people first meet me, they often comment on my disarming smile. I'm a small town Midwestern girl using wit, charm, a bit of biting humor, and a few glasses of wine to make my way through this adventure called life.
